I assume you now have a directory on your source disk called, e.g.,
NET. There are two sub-directories in NET called Aus1 and Aus2. These
stand for the two versions of AUSAM Unix now available, corresponding
to the Level 6 and 7 distributions of Unix. Choose the right one, and
link all its files into the NET directory (one of which will be called
Makefile). Edit the Makefile to ensure the parameters reflect the
local situation; e.g. some people prefer their spool directory to be
called "/tmp/net", rather than "/spool/net". Then type "make install".
Edit the "netconf" shell script for the right directory names, and run it.

Then, after you have read all the manuals and if you have made all the
support special-files and directories mentioned in the READ_ME file,
(and made by the "netconf" program), you may start up the daemons.

New distributions of NET software updates from "basservax" will be in
the form of a "cpio" copy of the NET directory. To install them, type
"cpio -iu <NET.cpio.up?", kill the net daemons, and then do a "make
install", (and restart the daemons).
